More food.

Apparently, it's just that kind of day. Dinner last night? In a word: FANTASTIC. Well, I was pleased, and the boy seemed pleased. Right now there is banana bread baking in the oven to take to grandma later. And I need to get my lamb chops marinating for dinenr tonight. With mashed potatoes and minted peas. Mmm...

There does not seem to be a whole lot of purpose to my presence here, yet. I'm just trying to make a habit of writing, and I'm trying to just put it out there and see what becomes of it. I might as well put it out there while I'm sitting here.

Fish: It's what's for dinner.

The menu for the evening: Baked sole, roasted asparagus, and roasted tomato couscous. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds!

Today

It does feel lovely on a Sunday to have coffee with my honey, and to enjoy the fresh waffles he made and to read the paper. (I can't wait until our kitchen table gets here!!!! I think I should make little bevvie rugs for coasters. Just a thought. I've seen some cute shit out there...) And now I am lounging about my Cave and listening to Splendid Table podcasts and looking forward to be inspired. That to-do list is lingering just...over...there. Sigh. It would be quite nice to vacuum the floor in the laundry room while I have the opportunity, however.

There are times when I can't believe that I am allowed out in public. What was everybody thinking? Surely they know better...

Happy New Year!

Every year is a new opportunity to achieve something great. I hope this is my year. I would like very much to blog more, even if it's just a little something everyday. I would like to share it. It seems a great opportunity to practice my writing, and heaven knows I need all the help.

This list of resolutions seems pretty typical for me, but let's frame it out anyway.

What I Want to Accomplish in 2011
  • Be nice
  • Write more
  • Take care of myself
  • Create more
  • Take care of myself, and The Boy
I hope to update my progress monthly. Go me!
